To help with people posting images i have commisioned a new image uploader, the link is located next to the "Chat" link on your user bar http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I must stress this is currently only a trial, if this service is over subscribed/abused it may affect the performance of the board. Oh and theres remote linking restriction in place meaning you can't upload you images here and view them on anyone elses websites or bulletin boards http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Uploads are currently limited to 150kb

If you click the link you get the option to browse you local file system for your image. Select the file and hit "Upload" you will then be presented with the images URL you must Cut and Paste that into your post surrounded by the IMG tags, or Just click the "Image" button in the IB Code buttons and paste it there http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

We will still be running the attach method and of course you will still be able to remotely link to your own webspace to avoid the size restricions.

Hopefully this will put an end to the how do i post pictures threads http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Nice one Pete - though it would not let me upload files with CAPITALIZED extension like JPG - which is produced by quite a few cameras.

Uh oh... a bug somewhere methinks, a lot of the uploaded pics are now morphing into the UR splash screen.

bugger thats the anti-hotlink code http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif do you have an example?

Its a bit intermitten... e.g. the pic i uploaded in this thread sometimes shows as the UR screen. MadSi's pic of the Mandarin also switch back/forth between the UR splass and the fish.

Ok - it is no longer intermitten - all the attachment links fail now with the UR splash!
