Ok. Its been a long time coming I know, so here are my tank specs for my current 55gall...... new 180gall set-up will follow soon..


Old system…..Been running for 5 years now…

Tank 55gall Seabray (15years old) 52L x 12W x 24D With 12L x 6W x 24D header tank at the back.(no sump)

Filtration.

1x Moded Seaclone (up-rated pump, and Air diffuser added)
Approx 75kilos of mixed Fiji / Carrabean / Tuffa / Lava rock
1 1/2” layer of Aragamax sand in tank and 3” in the bottom of header tank.
Small amount of Caulerpa in header tank, lit by overspill from MH’s

Circulation.

2x 802’s
2x Aquaclear 3000
2x MJ1200
1x MJ1000

Total turnover 32x tank volume/hr

Lighting.
2x 250W 10K BLV MH’s (no cover glasses) + 2x Marine blue actininics.
Duration MH’s *10Hrs / *Actinics 12Hrs

nice pics and setup m8, what is your plan and overall aim for your new setup?

and what are you going to do with your old setup? Are you going to keep your old system and run in conjunction with new and keep both independent, or gradually transfer your stock over from old to new when the time is right?
