Tank 96x24x24 2 holes drilled in side with weir
Sump 48x18x15
Freshwater reservoir 30x15x12 with RO water from Aquamedic standard 150
Evaporation top ups via Deltec kalk stirrer
Skimmer Deltec AP850 fed by 2 1060's
Korallin C3001 calcium reactor
Return from sump hailida HX8500B
Lighting 3x400w 10k BLV's
Sump has 2 mangroves in arogonite substrate lit by 6500k MH on reverse lighting period.

Main tank has 2" aragonite sand bed (will gradually add more)
Approx 90kg of living rock, mixture of fiji, caribbean and red sea.
Circulation via two 802's on wavemaker at opposite end to sump return (powerheads located within weir with tubing attached to reach into main tank to avoid any accidents to fish)
2x Tunze 4002 run by Tunze powertimer 708
4x Ehiem 1060 controlled by an Advanced Aquarium Products Aquasurge 4 way wavemaker.

Hi Rob,

No photo's sorry, they're sometimes called Dancing shrimps as well, does that sound more familiar? Hoping my friend from work will pop round again soon with his digital camera, if so I'll see if he can get some pics of them, though they're pretty shy.

Could they be pepermint shrimp? They sway back and forth and tend to hide in the rock work. There is also the camel shrimp which has the same coloration ( red and white striped) only it has a hump on it's back. Rumored to be excellent Aiptasia eaters.

Nemo's correct peppermints and camel backs look very similar and are commonly both called dancing shrimp in the uk. peppermints are excellent in a reef and will(hopefully) deal with any aiptasia problems. camel back's can some times be a problem they tend to prefer corals to aiptasia:eek:
