Porky puffer

I've had a porky puffer for a few months now and all was well until yesterday when I noticed large white patches above his gills/fins. It looks very much like his skin has "peeled" away and I can see new skin/porcupines underneath. Has anyone any advice on what this is or how I can treat it.

Simon, affraid I can't help you with the puffer, but you've posted in the wrong forum and so would be better off reposting in the 'reefs' forum.
