Hi

Here's a pic of a poecilliapora damicornis planula that has grown on my weir it's about 15 months now since i spotted it and it's grown into a nice colony, it is encrusting the glass and as you can see it has grown around the corner of the weir. It's also now growing over the top of the wier. I have had lots of these appearing all over the tank from the glass sides to on the shells of my clams and on empty snail shells, plus all over the live rock.

Has anyone had this happen with peocillapora or any other corals?

Mark,

That's fabulous! Congratulations on getting your Pocillopora to spawn like that. The same thing happened in simonh's tank, he had them growing all up the side walls. The prettiest walls I've ever seen http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

If you perform a search you should be able to pull up the old post documenting the event. I wonder what happened to all the babies when he transferred all his stock to his new tank? Simon give us an update please http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Lisa,

I removed them with a razor blade from the glass walls of the tank. They came off very easily. They all got put in a bag and taken to the LFS along with other breakages. A couple of local reefers took some of them and I still have one sat in my tank on the sandbed awaiting a new home somewhere.
