Hello anybody out there? It takes a great deal of effort to take a photograph especially one as stunning as mridley's, not to mention the boring task of connecting the camera's usb lead to upload onto computer, disconnect, restart computer, re-size photo, upload picture onto personal website and finally post it here. For all that we get zero yes ZERO response is a bit disheartening to say the least.

Personally, I have never really understood why we need a seperate photography section. If you look at ReefCentral, their photography section is just about the least active. I mean why should people post their tank pictures in there when they know they will get 10 times the response if they post it under General.

Always eager to see other peoples tanks and good quality photo's.

It provides inspiration for us people with average tanks and no digi cams.

Stunning as always Mr Ridley http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Take it easy, the pics were only posted last night late !

We all stand suitably chastised ! ( Not )

Also should be noted , that because a pic post does not get loadsa replies, DOES NOT mean that the pics are not marvelled at and enjoyed.

Check out the " Hit Count " for a true reflection on the popularity of the pics.

Marc.

Beautifull pics !.

As for not wanting to see any more.

Mmmm No Way. Bring em On http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I personally love to see pics posted here, especially of such quality.

In relation to the criticism over this Forum

Having a photography forum has an important benefit, they remain on the " front Page " for an extended period, unlike in the main " reefs " section, where they can quickly get "Bumped " off the front page if it is busy.

It is just a matter of getting into the habit of using it.

So Mr/Miss/Mrs Mushie, Chill Out !

Brian.

I think this forum is a good idea, too. It alows people on slow connections not to get boged down waiting for pics to download on the main reef threads. Also means I don't feel I'm showing off as much when I post here as opposed to the main forum http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Tim

PS - Stunning pics by the way...

Mark,

It looks great, it's changed a lot from when I last saw it. Lots of luverly SPS in there now, I thought that you didn't like them http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

How many fish have you got in there now? Do you still have your wonderful male Anthias? I can only spot a female in the pics. And how's your long resident Midas blenny getting on these days?

Regards

Lisa

Erm Mark... we're just stumped silent!
FWIW - I show your website to lots of peeps to tell them this is why I like marine fish! Oh yeah - and the reason why they should club together and get me a D60 for Xmas. * http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

Dream on...

Hi Mark,

Looks fantastic.

How do you find the blue Damsels and did you add them last ?

Hi Lisa, Yeah the tank has probably changed quite a bit since you last saw it, that must be what 2 years ? I suppose we all get bitten by the sps bug after a while, I think I have just the right balance between hard and soft now to satisfy my curiosity.
I posted a thread a while back titled "Time for a change" *which explains that i lost the Male Anthias http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif have a look because I posted pics of one of the females that has started to change gendar, it's not quite up to the splendar of the original just yet but i'm keeping my fingers crossed, once a women always a woman * http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif
The Middas got an eye infection early this year, it just went down hill from there really, old age catches up with us all *http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif

Tuan try father christmas for the D60 but make sure you have something soft at the bottom of the chimney, they don't like being dropped *http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Ziggy, yes I did add the Damsels last, they have all got their own space within the tank and god help anything or anyone one that enters little part of the reef.

Mark,

Aww, sorry to hear about that. http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif I hadn't seen the previous thread. The new 'male' looks pretty cool!
