Hi Eddie,

From what I can see your first attempt with the digi cam looks great! The pics are a trifle small though *http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/alien.gif

The webshots link doesn't work unfortunately, if you could fix that then I could appreciate your tank a lot better *http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Lisa

Hi again,

Ahh, that's better! Nice clear pics *http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

I see that you have a pipe fish, I'd love to keep one of these myself but they are not compatible with the rest of my stock.
http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif Does it just eat live foods or have you got it to accept frozen fare?

The coral in DSC00145 looks interesting? Any idea what it is? A type of brain coral maybe?

Keep us informed of progress, posting some more pics of course http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hi Eddie,

Very nice http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif I see you've managed to get a shot of your Manderin, every time I've got a shot lined up he/she disappears in amongst the rockwork http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Cheers

thanks for the feedback,

lisa - i do not feed the tank at all, both the pipe fish and mandarin live off LR. I have no skimmer on the tank so there is plenty of suspended matter, maybe even some phyto?? Nutrient export is through algae harvewsting.
Have had the pipe F for 2 years now http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Ziggy - have only had the mandarin for a week, but he's doing well, not at all camera shy http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

as for the other coral it was only a few quid, has trebled in size approx 2-3cm across, i have no idea what it is, a type of LPS, maybe a brain as you say Lisa

Thanks again
Eddie

What you have not feed your pipefish for 2 years? Good lord you ought to get down to the Irish coastline immediately and get some fresh pods asap. I can tell my pipefish always relish me feeding him the pods as he goes crazy over it each and every time.

On a different note, lovely tank I bet your pipefish is the happiest pipefish around.
