From the first picture you can see my furry mushrooms are forming a beautiful carpet with a very healthy colony of xx in the background. Oh did you spot the fish in the pic?

The second picture is a macro shot of my beloved yellow polyps. I have them for xx years and I just love their colour.

Ziggy,

The softie at the back of the first shot looks to be a bit of a monster http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Nice yellow polyps too, do you feed them directly or do they just capture the fishy leftovers?

Regards

Lisa

Hi Lisa, Mushie

OK I was a bit rushed when I posted these as it took an age to upload to the hosting site but as requested here's some detail http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

The first one shows my furry mushrooms (Rhodactis ?) which are some 4" dia when expanded and in the background is what I believe to be a Colt coral Alcyonium sp. though I could be wrong there. I have it well over a year and can't remember what it was called in the dealers tank, or even what LFS I got it from for that matter. I must start to keep a log http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/blush.gif

It's 6" tall when expanded. In the background is my Sohal tang cruising as usual.

The yellow polyps aren't fed directly Lisa but the colony is growing at a steady rate under this method and to be honest as they pack quite a sting I'm happy for them to slowly spread rather than kick start them into rapid growth.

Cheers
