I have had a flame angel in my reef tank since I first set it up about 4 years ago.
It is a lovely fish, and has grown well in my tank.
However, it does tend to pick at some of my corals, and has caused the death of at least two different turbinaria, and one moon coral.
it currently seems to leave my current coral selection alone, although may have a slight peck on the hard corals on occasions.
I also have a coral beauty that more or less leaves the corals alone, again, occasionally having a slight peck.
I knew the risks when I introduced these fish.
I was just wondering what others experiences were.

Hi Jon,
I've had mine over 2 years now with no real problems, the occasional bickering with my Coral Beauty but neither causes any damage to the corals (yet) http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Hi Jon,

Yup, mine likes to have the occasional nibble at some of my corals, most notably a Cynarina sp. and my much loved Blastomussa wellsi (which is currently residing underneath a protective box, dunno what I'm going to do with it when I transfer everything to my new tank). The good news is that nothing has died as a result of the Angel.....yet! I do have a Turbinaria that's struggling, never shows it's polyps during the day which I suspect the Angel is responisble for.

Darn fish! http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif *Still I've had him for 7.5 years and can't think about getting rid of him now http://www.ultimatereef.com/ibv3/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Regards

Lisa
