Similan Islands

Having sorted my insurance I am thinking of diving the Similan Islands with Scuba Cat using their Dive Show offer.

Has anyone any experience of these islands or this dive company please?

I believe Suk has dived in this area?

Hi Keith,

My only experience in that region is around Phuket itself.
The Similan Islands lie 100km north of the Island & hopefully it'll be on my itinery too,
in the not too distant future.

Give http://www.damnam.org/forums/ a try Thai based scuba forum. :D. When are you planing to go? I intend to travel to thailand in April for my honeymoon. Unfortunatly my wife to be does not dive, so I was going to do a speedboat trip to the Samilians from Phuket. If you intend to travel before this I would appriciate some feedback ;)

I dived there in Feb of this year over a two day period on a liveaboard from Phuket.

Fantastic, absolutely stunning and a must, need I say more !

Pristine coral and a wealth of marine life not experienced around the coast of Phuket, or in general Thailand,

Got back last week from 2x 5 day livaboards to the Sims and a 10 day to Burma banks.
Best diving is in the Sims. Make sure you do Ko Bon and Ko Tachai had mantas at both of these. Richelieu Rock is good too Huge Guitar shark about 4 meters long. I went with
Santana diving out from Patong Beach on Phuket. Wold recommend them to anyone good, people, Great Boat. If you want more details PM me.
