My tanks now 15 months old and changed a bit. I have removed the jewel internal filter added approx 85lb LR, a Deltec MC500 skimmer, and a series 3 250w 14000k halide with actinics. I'm still using the canister filter with a little biological media and some rowaphos. I have had problems in the past with high nitrates, 40-50ppm but now seem to have levelled off at a steady 5-10ppm and I'm happy with that.

New lights have only been in since yesterday so the softies which I have are only just getting used to the new intensity, but they look a lot better under this light than the N.O. tubes, colours are completely different. IMO. :D

Heres a few pics, I may start using my old SLR for pics in future as my digi doesn't have a lot of options for manual adjustment.
