Leigh,

The addis is my most favourite fish   I'd love some in my new tank but I don't think my SPS will thank me for them!

I may set up a seperate tank in the garage just to house some (but don't tell the wife yet!)

Cheers,

Cam.

Hi All

I would love to post a pic. of a butterfly, but i don't have one :( .
I think its about time i joined the ranks ! ;)

Is the Copperband the one most people go for in a reef set up.

Most people tend to go for Copperbands, IME. Mostly they are good with corals, but they will demolish feather dusters and some have reported that they nip at clams. FWIW, mine's in with 7 clams and hasn't attacked them.

Heres a list of "reef safe" butterflyies I recently got from Vincent Hargreaves who wrote the butterfly articles in the last few issues Marine World.

I fancied a different type of butterfly after seeing a trio of juvenile "collare" in my LFS, but chickened out and bought a blue faced angel instead :P

Chaetodon kleinii from Hawaii but it feeds on soft corals!
Chaetodon miliaris
Chaetodon fremblii
Chaetodon lunula
Chaetodon quadrimaculatus
Chaetodon aurega

Please be aware that I am basing these facts on the examination of the stomach contents of wild species from the reef. For example, Chaetodon multicinctus was examined and 91.6% of its stomach content was made up of stony coral polyps!

I should qualify this list with the following

"if it all goes wrong it's not my fault or Vincents" ;)
