I think the coral is Merulina, but my spelling is pants and I could be wrong anyway :(

The coral in the first pic looks like a Pocillapora which possibly means it's one of the symbiotic hard coral crabs, usually called Acro crabs.

The second one looks like detritus!!! Probably just a desguise for the little fecker(s) I would try and siphon them out.

The anemone would aslo be best removed as it will only spread like Aiptasia and cause a problem eventually?

I'd say kosh42 is right merulina sp. The crab is probably a commensal one that lives within the coral, the anemone looks to me like aptasia but I could be wrong, the "worms", I have'nt a clue but I would remove anyway, dont like the look of those may be predating on your polyps :o :o :o

many thanks guys,

I guess that could be apitasia, just not grown into recognisable form yet. Out it goes anyway !
Those worms do look like detritus dont they !, They were moving though !

I have had two of those anenomes for years, one is about 5" across and the other is 2". They've never spread and the small one looks rather lovely in the right light. It's definitely not what I would call an aiptasia.

The "worms" on the coral look like they have legs?? Is it possible that the are a sand covered polychaete?

Hi Fishflop, but Simonm no longer has a tank he closed it down last year. If you look at the thread date you will see it was posted over 2 years ago. Eric
