Anyone Dived Manado [Archive]

Hi,

Never posted on the Scuba Forum before. Anyone dived out in Manado?

I'm heading out there for 10 days in June, staying at Santika and diving with Thalassa. Just wondered if anyone had any experiences or notable sites worth looking at?

Hi Justin,

I was there in 1999. Stayed at Tasik Ria and dived in the Bunaken Park.

Saw many wonderful creatures I had never seen before including:-
Leaf Fish, Raggy Scorpionfish, Robust Ghost Pipefish and many different nudibranchs. I noted beautiful stands of hard and soft corals and dozens of Sea Whips.

The best sites were Fukui, Tanjung Kopi, Tengan and Timuri.

I really enjoyed it and remember one dive where I was the only diver from the only diveboat on the reef.
