well i have now upgraded from my rio 180 to this tank specs as follows.

Main tank 51x18x24 1" hole drilled with glass overflow
Sump 30x12x15 with 3 sections (1 with bioballs)
turbo flotor 1000 skimmer
D&D fluidised Nitrate reductor
fluidised bed running rowa phos
fluval 304 running floss
Vecton uv25
ehiem 1048 return from sump
2 x 680 lph powerheads
2 x 920 lph powerheads
2 x 42" atinic tubes
sys 2k twin 250w halide with 14k bulbs
sys 2k auto top up
sys 2k wave maker
sys 2k dual light control
sys 2k 300w heater
sys 2k heater stat
sys 2k power distribution module

Will do a stock list when i get ime hope you like it any tips welcome. Oh almost forgot thanks to chris kirby for all the great bits and advice :D

I was tol the same thing he is very active so you wouldnt be able to keep him with shy tank mates but other than that hes fine

Your running a sys 2k heater (300watt) does this have a themostat on it?? If not i would replace it with a normal heater. Plug it into the sys 2k control box as normal but set the on heater thermostat to 2C higher than the temp you want..(e.g the sys 2k box is at 25C but the heater is set to 27C). The reason for this is as a extra fail safe. If the sys 2k temp monitor fails and sticks on the tank will only get 2C hotter instead of just boiling your tank..


I know this from experience, its terrible to see a tank running at 38C and everything boiling.... Sys 2K will tell you that there stuff never sticks on but belive me it does!!!!!!!!

Lol mine has brown patches avery few days so i just give it a good stir up.

Next tank wont be for a couple of years when i move to a bigger house then she is going to let me have a 7x2x2 :D
