Hi all.
Just been looking at Thomas Cook on sky.Apart from the Girly's huge deformed gob, what interested me was the holidays in the Red sea.My beloved and me would love to go there for a 2 week holiday. Not particular where but want to snorkell on the Reef and have plenty to do at night. They're offering all inclusive in November for £550.Sounds really good deal.Think it was in Sharmin Sheik.Anyone got any suggestions.Would't mind learning to dive whilst there. Please define have plenty to do at night if you mean discos (do they still call them that :P ) pubs and drunken yobbos staggering about forget Sharm and most of the Egyptian Red Sea resorts, if you mean resturants, quiet indoor/outdoor bars, etc Sharm has some of that. The snorkling off the beach is OK and you can book dayboats to have a day on a fringing reef.

Learning to dive out there is simple either pre-book with your tour operator or go onto the web and find a dive school in Sharm (make sure its close to your hotel, it will be too hot to walk far B) ) I would also suggest you do the pool and written work before you go, so you can get on with the real diving :D

Sharm's ur place, bit like Spain for 'enetertainment', not like the REAL Egypt at all; that's one reason I was disappointed with Sharm, all I've ever known of Egypt is Temples (which is not what Sharm is about) having been 5 times, and Coral-life. However you WON'T be disappointed with the sea-life, tis amazing IME.
