Hello all,

I have been reading the forums for quite a while now but haven't contributed too much as I am still learning from you experienced bods on here. Anyway I have kept trops for a number of years and have always admired Marine's, I have purchased so many books over amazon and similar places over the last couple of years that I thought it about time that I took the plunge and moved over to the world of Salties!! Thanks to Andy (Jevs) for convincing and Nick for the superb service on the kit and the tank.

So here is what I have ready to go:

5x2x2 Tank with cabinet made by Danny at Watford
Lighting hood containing 2x400 watt MH & 2xT5 Actinics
Deltec AP850 Skimmer
Deltec PF600s Calcium reactor + Tank and guages etc
Deltec KM500T Kalk Stirrer
IKS Professional Unit
IKS Float switch, 2x PH Probes, Temp probes, 2x 4 bar sockets
Deltec Auto Top Up
Deltec FR509 Reactor (Rowaphos)
Tunze streams and controller TS24
couple of peristaltic pumps for the kalk and Calc
Heater
Caribsea 10 bags
Miracle Mud 2 Bags

LR and will come later once I have all the above kit, should be collecting it all next week.

I have noticed that some people use egg crate and some people make their own perpex frames to sit LR on for aquascaping, are their any advantages to either and is there anywhere to see some different examples of aquascaping for this size tank?

Cheers

i have always placed my live rock directly in the glass bottom , unless i have wanted a cave and then i have had one built from glass via john at fit filtration , derby and covered this in live rock.

Luckily I had some excellent advice from Andy and Nick and Nick managed to sort me out a pretty amazing deal on the kit

I think I owe him a beer or two
