We're pleased to announce we have a new sponsor Cyber Aquatics (http://www.cyberaquatics.com) :)

I'd like to welcome and tank Chris for joining us.

Cyber Aquatics is a new venture from Chris & Charmaine Kirby (aka ChrisKirby101). After longing for a great shop to open in the North East we finally decided to open our own.

Cyber Aquatics features:

Huge selection of Tropical & Marine Fish handpicked weekly.
Large stock of rare and hard to find Hard & Soft Corals, Many cultured in our own Cyber coral farm.
Huge selection of Dry Goods, Live Foods, Equipment & Additives.
Cyber Internet Area & Interactive Touch Screen Displays to research your purchases in store.
Club Meetings offering Expert Advice, and hands on learning.
Open late weekday evenings 12-8pm, tailored opening hours for the aquarium market.
Shop online or in store.
Experienced staff who are passionate about the hobby, giving honest impartial advice.
Our entire system is run by a unique professionally developed fully automated computer system. Everything from water top-up’s, water changes, ocean wave flow simulation, lighting & temperature control is handled by advanced AI computer technology. This system has been in development for over 4 years. We plan to bring this advance system to home users at a realistic price point.
And many other exciting plans and innovations.

Opening mid July 2004.

Thanks everyone for all your comments its a really exciting time for us both. We really are gonna be putting of hearts into this venture.

Kim the AI bit really the way the program works...

example if a snail crawls into a unprotected overflow, normally the water level wold rise in the main tank and then overflow onto the floor.

But my stuff would start to pulse the return pump (all the while trying to get in touch with the tank owner via email, sms, turning bedroom lights on ,ftp web upload or just ringing a phone over and over). This would allow the tank to funtion as normal until the owner can fix the problem.

This is just a very basic idea of what it can do, it does loads more and has saved my tanks countless times.

Bringing this stuff to market will take a while as the program is wrote for me only and so is not very user freindly... Probably be a shop version of it first then later a consumer version...

Thanks

Mikey
