hey all,

Have alway's wanted to learn to dive and i feel i'm in the right place now to start seriously thinking about it.
I would like to go on holiday this year or next and incorperate "learn to dive" at the same time. Is there any recommendations to where it's good to learn abroad and any company's people have used before that are quite creditable.

Egypt is always a good place to go. Emperor Divers are supposed to be good and have centres in various resorts in Egypt but I think you will probably be OK with most centres used by British dive tour operators.

First of all you need to decide what type of diving you plan on doing as you should only dive in conditions the same or better than you were trained in so if you're planning on diving in the UK it would be better to learn in the UK.

I would suggest loooking into doing a referal rather than doing the whole course on holiday. With a referal you do your pool and theory work with a school in the UK then your dives abroad so you don't waste your holiday sitting in a classroom.
