Looking good Mark.
Just need to sort out the blury pic's as they don't do your tank justice m8.
Keep it coming  must sort out some pic's myself.
 Frunkster
one day i'll get a decent camera but for now my cash seems to be going towards my new tank and work on my house.
frank, i told you my clown fish left my rose BTA and move into the Anemone i had from you as soon as it went in as you can see in the photo above.

Hi,
For a start do NOT use the flash.
Its canceling out your lights hence the dark pictures.

Hi Mark. Nice pics of your tank, thanks for sharing them with us. What size tank is it and how many yellow tangs have you in there as i have just set up a 5x2x2 and would like some yellow tangs in it. Eric.
Hi,
Craigg, thanks for that info and i'll try that the next time i take some photos.
Eric, my tank is 6x2x2 at the moment and i have 4 yellow tangs.
as soon as my new tank is built and up and running i'll be fraging alot of my soft corals so if your fairly local i'm sure i could sort you some.
thanks - mark t
bumped for Keith
Hi Mark,
Thought I would return the favour and have a look at your set up.
I notice you have a copperband, I have only just purchased one for my old tank and I have done this to rid the old tank of Aiptasia before closing it down and transferring it to my new one.
How have you got on with yours and do you have a problem with Aiptasia.
Your pictures are suberb mate. I need to also find out how to take a close up photo without the flash bouncing back onto the picture so I can post a few more.
Lovely tank you should be really proud.
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian.
thanks for the complement, the main tank shown is now my sump tank and i now have a 6 x 2.5 x 2 for my main tank with sps corals and my bigger fish and my smaller fish and lps and soft corals are in the bottom tank with my dsb.
the t5 lights on the bottom tank are on 10 am to 10 pm and the other way round for the top tank so i can look at my softy tank before work and my sps tank when i get back pluss then my halides are on when its cheep rate electric to help keep the power bill down a little.
i'm affraid the copper band didn't survie the change over for some reason as i've not seen it since i resetup and i brought a lot of new live rock that seems to be teaming with aiptasias so i'll be getting another in the future but now i've not long got a 8 x 3 x 2.5 which i've been after for awhile so i need to get that setup 1st but making sure i plan things out right from the start and thanks to your new setup it as given me some good idears as i was unsure what kind of stand to build.
as for the flash problem i was told to not use the flash but not had chance to try it as the memory card on my cam as stoped working so as soon as i can get a new one i'll be doing a update with lots of new pics plus the new build of my new 8 footer.
thanks and looking forward to coming to see your tank in the near future.

got a mate bringing his canon eos round so hopefully we'll get some good ones :D

Nice tank. Have you got the new tank then? How long till you start the big one?
Mark.
i want to start the big tank now but thinking over different idears untill i can get some time off work to build the stand and get some mates round to lift it in the house.
i thought my 6 x 2.5 x 2 was heavy so 8 x 3 x 2.5 is going to be a night mare to lift (3 of us pushed it into a van and back out at my end)
i'll be posting pics of the 8ft as soon as its gets started but should have some new ones very soon of the two 6ft tanks i've got going at the moment.
cheers - mark t
some new pics before the 8 x 3 x 2.5 gets set up :D

Mark, i think I saw some die back at the base of some of those acros. When will the new tank be set up? Judging by your fish load, those acos will appreciate a dilution of waste so that nutrients are reduced. Not having a go, just an observation.
Regards Gary
Hi Gary,
hows things, I'm still running builders lime.
not sure which ones look like there are dieing back, did have a problem with one when that got stung badly and had to be fraged which is why theres loads on the plate rock thats in some of the pics.
bio loads not causing me any probs with water at the moment but then I've got the AquaMedic 5000 twin protein skimmer on it which must help a lot.

The 6th photo of the purple tip. Look at the base. My tank is OK, but I lost a heap of colonies, when the impellor of one of my pumps cracked, exposing the copper coil. It rusted and poisoned the water. Getting back to a good standard now though. Good to hear your'e still using the builder's lime. Me too!
Gary.

The purple tip was like that from when I got as i think it was on the sand IIRC but it is growing back downwards now :D .
Really sorry to hear about that then with your pump ,hope you didn't lose to much and its good to hear your getting back on track.
you'll have to post some pics of your tank now things are looking better.
 - mark t
Tried to post a video a few months back, but when I emailed it, the file was too big. If anyone would host some photos, i'd be pleased to. Great to hear that the acro is covering that bare patch.
Gary.
you can upload pics direct to UR like i did with mine.
sorry but I don't have any space to upload a vid or i would and i would have one of mine as well
good news on the 8 x 3 x 2.5...... the basic stand is built so soon I'll have the tank in place then the wait of filling it with ro/di water.
hopeing to get some pics soon on a new thread as soon as i can get hold of a new digi cam as my old one as had it.
