View Full Version : Rio Vision 180 - Who Has These Tanks??
Hi. I am wondering who has a Rio Vision 180 tank. The reason whuy is that I need to know what fish, inverts etc people are keeping, and if they have any pics.
This is so that I can compare my newish tank and try and get it to a more maturer and better stage by looking at others and seeing what are in theirs.
I dont have any sumps or whatever - just the basic tank with an arcadia T5 unit B)
cheers

I've got the curved front 180 Juwel if that's the one you're talking about. I've had it over 2 years with 4 T5s crammed under the lid. As with yours I don't have a sump but have done pretty well since starting.
Currently only have two fish, I've had a bit of bad luck with one or two. But lately I've started to wonder if my bigger than ever anemone is the culprit.
I've also got a selection of softies and a couple of sps, plus a clam. I did have more sps until last years summer caused the temperature to go too high and a few were wiped out. Pictures are available but I've never used the uploader so if you're interested let me know and I may give it a go.
TONY - yes I mean the curved tanks.
Go on and put some pics up on the board. I cannot find my camera leads otherwise I would do the same.
Where do you go to get your stocks? I need to persuade my dad to give me a lift down Kent way <_<
I need to figure out what stock i can keep. I have those compact T5 (i think they are called - with a 2 blue and white tubes together)

I would load some pics but at the moment I haven't got a clue how I'm going to squash them down to below 150kb. I'll have a go soon. I'll also try and take some better pics at the weekend. I've had a look and front tank shots don't look that good.
I've had good and bad with the tank over two years. A number of fish have died, as have corals, this being mainly due to last summer. The softs do best if temperature control is a big problem. More recently I've been suspecting the anemone for fish vanishing.
One thing that is becoming a problem is the anemone. When fully inflated it's about 12"+ across and takes up a large part of the tank. People told me not to get one but when I bought it two years ago it fit in my hand. With the big toadstool there's not a lot of room, buy bits squeeze in.
I've got 4 T5's. Only one blue though.
Best shop for me is Aquacadabra in Barnehurst. Good prices.
