 Well set the tank up a few months back rio 300 with sump underneath (diy)
around £300 of live rock fiji 2ft box section of crate under live rock with a power head flowing underneath
small juwel filter in left corner filled with biomedia and rowaphos powered by a 1000ltr power head
small power head on right side of tank pointing towards sump feed
sump return in back right hand corner privided by aqua 3500 ltr pump this points to the front left hand corner of tank..
lighting supplied with 2 t5's at the back original juwel lighting also in there with 1 actinic and marine white Not had any problems but will be converting to a twin metal halide unit with twin t5's

harlequin tuskfish
regal tang
2 red scooters
6 green chromis
1 yellow tailed damsel
2 green hermits
1 red leg
1 cleaner shrimp
Feeding all above on mixed frozen foods and some vegies for the regal although he will eat anything (my finger if i dangle in the tank long enough )

various anemones sponge polyps and so on

36"x12"x15" clear seal tank

The sump has four partitions first was to set up for skimmer but ended up with turbo 1000 and this will not fit!!(yes i know bad planning)
second partition for biomedia supported on a 12"x12" filter plate another plate at roof of compartment where filter wool is used to capture most detritus...
Third comparment is for skimmer this i have sunk into a bag of live sand...
Fourth is for return pump to tank (Any ideas on this idea ) works well and had no problems so far apart from an 8 hour power cut last night and tank now showing a small amount of nitrite (F@?$%^&*) Electric company

Any veiws good or bad welcome ,new to this game kept malawi's for a few years and marine's are a venture for me at the moment... Not the best looking considering what i have seen on here (lucky buggers) but it keeps me happy for now

Thanks Dave

The base i have basicly put a 6"x1" of beech timber at the front made sure it was cut to the right dimension so the weight of the tank didn't bow the cabinet top (BOOOM) if you know what i mean :( The cabinet i have also slid up and down a bit when filled and no problems ...The tank drilling was a bit nerving as i did this three parts full !But if you take your time you should have no problems..
Ps the sump in total was not that expensive including pump aswell ...
Thanks Dave
