View Full Version : Tank Picture
Comments welcome
Hi thought I'd post a photo of my tank - just fitted new 14k coralvue bulbs from Nick at coral culture - they look great photo doesn't do justice to them a massive improvement compared to my arcadia equivalents.
Anyway have recently started keeping SPS as well as softies got 6 at the moment going well (so far!)
Sorry about photo quality.....
Looks really good mak... very realistic and a lovely combination of fish and corals.....
Love the nem and hte goldrim a lot!
great stuff

p.s. you will only be shot down for posting in reefs!
looks really nice, like that clam on the left hand side.
Nick
Elliott do ya think the nems alright ??? ( it's looking a bit pastey to me??
very nice tank m8! is it me or does that goldrim have a huge caudal fin? :) nick
Is it a BTA, cant quite make it out over that distance.
How long have you had it, has it always been there?
How olds the tank?
Got a close up?
Nick
Bought as a ritteri?
It has, apart from the first week always lived there - wish it didn't but do not want to risk damage by moving it, I intend to build the LR up to meet the Nem (if mohumed (sp) won't go to mountain...)
Nems colour is yellowish with lime green tips, brown base if that helps?
The tanks approx 18mths old but sand, LR, water was all transferred from my previous (smaller) tank. Can't get a focused close up got an Ixus500 won't go too close or maybe it's the operator.
Shifiti,
If its a ritteri then yeah I would say it looks a little bleached... what lights are you running?....
What colour was it when you got it ?
Elliot
Arcadia ser3 250w 14k
was darker - greener when bought but has been that colour for 7months or so - still feeding and responsive??
 why would it bleach?? will it unbleach :( (is that a word)
MIkey is your man... sure he will be along soon...
Normally an anemone will bleach when it expels all its zooanthanelle.
Normally this is due to light shock.
Was it a funny looking green?..... Not sure I seen a green rittero - Mikey will know. It is possible it could have been dyed.. and is now returning to its natural colour.. albeit it possiby lighter than before as it heals.
If its feeding, and its mouth is not outturned, gaping then leave it be... sounds like it is feeling OK....
I stopped feeding my ritter.. now once a month or so .. as it grows so big!!!... be warned :)

are all those turbos alive and did you have to nock them off the glass to take the photo :D
nice looking tank.i especially like the clam
Yea there about 100 turbos in there + 50 redlegs, they seem to stay off the front glass - i clean it daily so I guess they know theres no food there for them!
1 turbo (The Daddy ) is 1.5"tall &1/5" diameter across the base he can lap the tank in the blink of an eye ;)
I had the big clam abot 18 mths - it was only about 2.5" when purchased gettin on for 7" now though.
Elliott..
I didn't think it was a 'funny looking green' it looked natural and all that if ya know what i mean
Mikey where r u ......Help :)
