Hi all,
Posting my friend mat's (aquamat1) tank on for him. I require payment in coral.
Mat's tank is 4x2x2 360 litre Rena tank. It was comverted from a cichlid tank in May of last year. It has a Deltec MCE600 skimmer, 2 Tunze Stream 6060s and an empty Rena XP3 canister filter used to accomodate an Eco-aqualiser. The system is lit with an Aqua-medic 150w 10000k metal halide pendant with 2 actinic T5s built in.
I'm sure Mat will be happy to fill you in on any other spec/livestock info you'd like.
Regards
Sean

Great tank.

Refreshing to see another example of a sumpless tank doing very well. Looks like 100% live rock if it isn't.

What kind of water changing do you do and how do you dose calcium?

Hi Stu

Thanks for that.
I do a weekly 5 gallon water change using RO and Reef Crysals.
I was dosing calcium +3 by Red Sea but when i tested the calcium i found it to be a little high.
I have stopped dosing that now and my calcium is reading 420-430 ppm.
When i get more plating and branching corals i will be investing in a calcium reactor.
Going to mount the skimmer under the tank eventually

Cheers

I do have two leather corals which go in and out quite a lot.
They both look healthy but wondering why they do this.
One of them seems to come out more when the lights are off.

Any thoughts

Thanks very much. :thanx:
Had large Central American Ciclhids(Texas,Firemouth,Cichlasoma Salvini)
Also had some South American species such as Geophagus Proximus,Jurupari.
All good fun but a violent world.
My lion fish is a Pterois Antennata will grow to about 8".It will take Shrimps and smaller fish but is quite peaceful with other fish.

Cheers

so far so good.
I have three shrimps with him at the moment (1 x cleaner 2 x fire).
He has never even looked as though he might like them for lunch in fact he even lets the cleaner shrimp clean him.
Don't know if i have just been lucky or what.I also have a red tooth trigger in my tank which i have also had no trouble off.
I hope it continues.

Can't believe it i have just arrived home to find that my red tooth trigger has made a break for freedom and made it.
This is the second fish i have lost in two weeks through this and i am getting fed up.
I have never lost one through jumping in a year and now i have lost two in two weeks.

Don't know if this is the season for jumping
