I thought i would put my 5x2x2 foot mixed reef tank on here so you can see how well it is doing. It has been set up for getting on three years and is quite stable water wise. PH and other water parameters vary only very slightly.
LIGHTING..twin 250 watt ARCADIA series 3 with twin 30 watt actinics and analouge timmers + one double Arcadia t5 unit with one 54watt 60/40 mixed tube 54 watt d/d and one d/d actinic total lighting 668 watts and run for 8 hours daily
LIVE ROCK 135 kilos of top quality fiji live rock + the bits you get on you corals when you buy them and the odd bits to just fit in here and there about 150 kilo in all.
WATER MOVMENT:- is taken care of by two tunze streem pumps one at each end of the tank with the tunze controller and photo cell so they slow down at night. set up to pulse from end to end so you get a wave motion in the tank.
SUMP.. 3x1x1.3 feet. containing the following equipment:- heater 150 watt. Aqua medic turbo flotor multi 1000 skimmer. Aqua medic calcium reactor pm 500 running through an Aqua medic PH computer. Rowa Reactor (one of mine ). Hailea 100 mg ozone reactor running via skimmer. kalk wasser stirrer ( also one of mine ). advanced aquatics water top up managment system. tittan 1500 chiller feed by Eheim 1260 . 1 x Eheim 1264 for return to main tank. 15 watt uv steriliser. + four maxijet 1200 to run rowa pod, uv light ,calcium reactor and carbon.
25ltrs of fresh r/o water is stored in an adjacent cupboard and this is pumped into the tank via the top up system and another maxijet 1200.
LIVE STOCK.. the live stock consists of a bit of most things as follows:-
FISH:-
1x yellow tang
1x reagal blue tang.
1x red hawk
1x six lined wrass
6x green chromies
1x yellow tailed damsel
1x sand /algae goby
1x anthias anthias
2x fire fish
2x cleaner shrimps
about 100 turbo snails
25 hermit crabs
also a large selection of hard and soft corals see photo,s.
hope you enjoy it as much as i do Lenny

18/70 mm. but you have to mutiply it by 1.5 to get the 35 mm equivelent. realy nice bit of kit though. you can feel it a quality camera just by holding it

i,ve only just started to use the ozone and run it on half the maximum output as not to over do it. no i do not have ORP controller but do have pinpoint ORP meter. i run it for six hours daily and it just polishes the water nicley. you can see the difference before and after use.lenny

i had a blue background before this one and did not like it. It just looked naff some how. not saying this one is any better it,s a pain in the rear to change it as there is very little room down the back of the tank. if i do change it it will probably be for a black background. cheers for your in put. lenny

Hi Lenny.I have just got your message i have had my computer down since yesterday morning, iv'e been doing a bit of spring cleaning and decorating. What a stunning tank setup you have there every thing looks so healthy and well, do you find a difference running ozone has it made a difference to water clarity. I see youv'e mastered putting up more than one picture, nice one well done, How do you rate the fuji s7000 to the Nikon, i have a s5500 which iv'e had for 4 months now and i still cant get the hang of it but i will. Once again Lenny well done with your tank top marks m8. Regards Eric.

:o Looks great. Clean setup

I assume your 110gallon means your display(main) tank water volume and it's in UK gallon. Your sump should easily hold another 30gallon

Once again...your corals looks healthy & happy.

Great Job!

Nick
