pic of tank (which is in my living hall) & my setup (which is in my balcony seperated by sliding glass panels). keeps the noise & heat away. :P i run my system side by side as the Juwel cabinet does not offer a luxury of space.
Very good well impressed, you've got to be single though or at least living by yourself cos if my misses seen that in my hall or anywhere else in the house i'd be thrown over the balcony!!!!
What camera are you using mate?
Excellent setup by the way!

hi peter, am currently single, getting married in 6 mths though. ;) am currently living with my parents till my new lodge is ready. in my country, a balcony is juz like a courtyard for airing clothes. no issues abt that.
my pc of reef is ill in comparison to many of the gurus here. juz hoping to gain more knowledge on the way. :P
am using a canon ixus 40. dun hv a DSLR to bring out the colors of my reef. :(
Sweet setup   love those percs
Evening lightningstrike
That is an awsome tank
I am currently looking for my first coral for my 20g setup and after seeing what you have called ' ric collection viewed from top. ' on page 2 would like to get some
Can you tell me if they would be fine in my system
Awsome tank

09-03-05, 04:45
thx for all the nice comments, i still look forward to improving my reef. ;)
hi hamagogo,
Ricordea floridas r generally a hardy species with loads of stunning colors to choose from. i give them moderate light and water movement conditions. feed them occasionally with zooplanktons and mysis shrimps. they thrive and propogate as if there is no 2moro. :P sadly in my part of the world, 1 frag of ric florida will cost roughly abt 20 euros.

They're more expensive in the UK! £25.
As an owner of a Rio 180 your tank is something I could only dream of  I showed a photo to my girlfriend who also thought it was stunning then she saw all the equipment and started muttering about "if you think your putting all that stuff in..... (I shut off at this point as I knew a NO would be forthcoming)

hv since changed my 2x250W DE MH bulbs from 14kk to 10kk BLV. comparison pics as follow r taken under the same lighting conditions from my dual T5s.
coloration of tenuis seems a little more intense now when compared to using 14kk bulbs previously.

hi jamie reefer,
thx for ur words of encouragement.
i think the red "zoos" u were referring to r not zoanthids, i suspect they belong to the palythoa genus........ anyway, both r classified under colony polyps. ;)
