So what do you get for your money then....and what should I plan to add to it? I know that they are more or less a complete system when bought but are they really as good as people say?

i have perc 90

here are some pics when i transferred to this tank

the perc tank imo is a great system although no sump as such but not a bad thing,it is a complete marine system built for marines so you dont have to change anything,i say dont but there are a couple of things i would change

lighting - if your going to keep sps corals imo it would be a good idea when ordering to pay the difference and get 250w lights as big expence after 6 months a year when you want to add some

pumps - there is not really enough flow imo in these tanks so i would allow money to up the lph by changing the pumps or add a tunze to it

there are other things you may want to add - calcium reactor, kalk stirrer auto top up but you would have to do this to any tank if you were going for acros, sps etc

great tank though, built well and look good

Thanks Mark I will keep that in mind...

Anna, Kev - I will be stealing ideas (just to let you know)

I think I shall go for one of these tanks look really good...

What type of bio load in your opinion can they take with the fitration methods used.

Also if you were to add a calcium reactor for example how would you do it?

Thanks

Peter

If a MOD reads this would it be better in REEFS?

Again thanks

there are two ways for reactors etc

you can get an aquamedic reactor(not exactly sure what model)that sits in the chamber

or

have one in the cabinet and peri pump or t piece to pump it up to the sump

What type of bio load in your opinion can they take with the fitration methods used.

do you mean fish wise?if yes really depends on how many your planning and what type of fish.

what would you like to keep?

In my last set up which was a similar size to the 120 I had a Majestic Angel.....this would be my main concern TBH

I want a small shoal of chomis or anthias maybe 5 (prob chromis) then others that may take my fancy along the way...

I was thinking about keeping about 8 fish plus the chromis... same as what I had really...

Thanks

Peter
