Nudi On Porites

Found a number of these on a piece of porites. They are about 1-2mm across and white. These photos are taken through a microscope. It looks black in the third photo because the backlight was on.

I suspect they are pests - but would be grateful for confirmation.

they look like little mites but giving a sure id i would not have a clue. do you notice any damage on the coral at all?

Coral seemed a little off-colour, polyps not extending in area around these creatures but when I removed them I couldn't spot any obvious damage. Maybe they just feed on the mucus?
