Harry

How are you finding the acrylic tank for cleaning ?

I'm looking to 8ft*3ft*2ft and I am considering the acrylic option due to transparency.

Does it pick up "hazing" scratches ?

you can see scratches when very close up but there very hard to see, you may notice some were the camare flash reflects, personaly i wouldnt have glass again, only trouble is when you get stubbon algea its a real pain, im gona shock a few people here but ive been using an old well worn mag cleaner, just using the acrylic sponge just wont cut it, even with the mag cleaner it will take some effort but ive found this the best option, you do get the odd fine scratch but you cant see it, do this at your own risk though lol

Looking really good Harry - love the tangs. A few questions...

Who made the tank, and how did the costs glass/acrylic compare? (Still dithering over glass v acrylic for my next upgrade).

What spectrum/make of 400w bulbs are you using - are you still using 14k?

And can I belatedly take up your invitation to pop round for a butchers? :D

Regards,

Keith

So I've read somewhere the cut edge of a pice of acrylic is good for stbborn algae and safe.
