What Are These?

Hello everyone!

Just checked my tank and noticed about 200 minute little white things crawling around on my glass. I wondered whethere there dangerous but they seem to be on a thin layer of algae so maybe goodies??? I dont know but Iv never heard of anything like them! Dont have a camera but would be too small to picture anyway!!! Appreciate any advise before I wipe them off :evil:

Could be copepods or amphipods, nothing to worry about.

Cheers mate! I looked really closely and they looked like they were spawnig rapidly as I could see hundreds more even smaller ones, I wiped most of them off but theres still a few. Anyone got any more idea's? Should I completely get rid of them or are they helpful?
