Hi there
Looking good there
Hi all
I am hoping to move my existing tank inhabitants into my new tank shortly,I would like to sort out some clean up crew. Can anybody give me some idea how many and where I can get them bulk.I have heard of others having trouble keeping snails and hermits together any more thoughts on this would be helpful

Nice settup so far mate. i can tell your a person who doesn't like a wet floor! ;)
Nice pooch too, what kind is he?
As far as snails n hermits are concerned, just make sure the hermits have bigger shells to move into as they grow and you should be fine just sticking to the traditional clean up gang.

Hi mate
I also have a wavebox and 2x6000 streams but might get the tranformer upgrades for the streams
Please help
my tank is now full of R.O added salt and heater turned on wavebox and streams, all was hunky dory.Turned on my return pump and the noise from the overflow is unbearable. Now I have tried the ripping out all the return plumbing and putting in a single return straight into the sump and the putting in a small length of airline that didnt work. The water level rises untill it makes a full syphon then rushes out then the cycle starts again so I thought I need a bigger diameter airline to stop the syphon but that didnt work either.Could it be that the O.R.6500 is just to powerful?.the return pipework is 40mm.
Thanks
Hi
Nice tank/cabinet. Is there a middle support on the cabinet (removed for pic?) just curious.
Re-- your overflow noise. I suspect that if the or 6500 was too powerful then the water level in the main tank would rise and the sump would empty due to the pipework not being able to feed the sump. Looking at your overflow pipe: is it your intention to completely submerge the pipe? Maybe instead of a larger air line you need to make it longer and extend down into the overflow pipe some ways.
Archie
hi gheluvelt i have got two 40mm down pipes going to the sump but dont know how noisey it will be yet cos not setup yet . but i was going to test run it for noise first with just tap water then make any ajustment where needed
pls keep us informed how you go with the noise mate hope all goes well .
ps you could fit a tap on the return pipe from the sump to slow it down i know thats not good for the pump long term but it will give you some idea of the pump size you will need .then you could use the 6500 on a closed loop
Cheers guys
I met xxmattyxx and tramline at CGA on sunday and matty suggested putting a tap on the return to back the water up a bit.Gave it a go and changed my durso effort for the 90deg bend type out of 32mm pipework, with a bit of fiddling with the return tap and hole size in the durso it is running a lot quieter. Thanks for your help
Hi archie yes the center support was removed to help get the sump in and fixed back before i filled the tank.
O.K guys did the big swap over today,I hav'nt got much in the way of livestock yet but just some piccys to give a rough guide.
