Where do you think its big enough for some blue spot mushrooms
Dave was this tank easy to setup for marine and for the sump did you have to get it drilled etc as I am looking for a corner tank as the missus won't give me much space in the dining room ! :(

Tank was fairly easy to setup as i had all the stock already. My first tank was a juwel vision 260 but i wanted one a little bigger and the trigon 350 met my needs so everything was transfered over.I find with the corner tank it appears to take up less space but still has plenty of room to work with so would be benefical if you dont have a lot of space.
Due to sump being added at a later date i am having to use an overflow box when i finally get it completed. So if you was planning on having a sump with corner tank i would recommend you put sump in before you set up tank as i had to modify cabinet to take the sump which wasnt very easy with a full tank.
I would of had tank drilled if i had the choice again.
So good luck Dave
Dave sorry to ask another question but how does the overflow box work, is it something you have to make or can you but them. I need things to be as simple as poss as I am new to this and not really a DIYer. Also did you make the sump yourself and was there much modding of the cabinet.

Hi,Im pretty new to marines myself so cant really explain how overflow box works but you could go to google and put in a search for overflow box.You can buy overflow boxes.I bought the tank for the sump ready made but had to redesign it myself and modifying the cabinet was done by removing original centre support and replacing it with a 2 x 2 frame.See picture
Hope this helps Dave

This is interesting cos this is the tank I am most likely to get as it's a corner one. Did you have to get it drilled or do you have some other way of getting the pipework to the other tank.
He will use the overflow box to connect the sump to the display tank, as he has already said it is not drilled.
@DannyW I guess then you would run the pipes down the back somewhere
An awful lack of pics on this thread

looking at the above, your tank is in darkness by 8pm. Surley this is the time that you would sit down to enjoy it?? Not a critism BTW, just seems strange not to be able to see it over the 'peak viewing time'
Tanks looking great
My lights dont come on until
ON:
1pm Blue
2pm White
11.30pm Blue LED Spots
OFF:
11pm White
12am Blue
09.00am Blue LED Spots
I suppose it depends on your working hours, My White goes off slightly sooner now so that my Sun Coral will come out and Feed (Wont come out when White Light is on yet)
;)

Have attached a picture of how protein skimmer is fitted and lights are still standard juwel lighting have just changed tubes. You will need to cut rear part of lid to allow it to close when protein skimmer is fitted.
