Trying out the new camera

Just read the instructions on how to use it.
My new powerheads.
SEIO M620
where did you get your seio pumps?
http://www.eaquanature.com/store/advanced_...p?keywords=seio (http://www.eaquanature.com/store/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=seio)
Delivery took about 10 days, needs a signature.
Costs around £68 inclusive (4 x SEIO M620)
They accept Paypal as well so no need to give out your credit card details.
They are very good and give you updates right through to despatch.
Did you get any customs charges with that?
Great pics by the way. :D

Great pictures
how do you rate the new pumps ?
:thanx: Lisa
No, to be honest I have never been hit with Custom charges  from anything from the far east, only get hit by customs whenever I buy anything from Ebay in America.
I now contact American ebay sellers to declare products as gifts and ask to to declare the value at £18.00 or under otherwise you end up paying duty and clearance charges on them.

The pumps have only been in the tank for a week or so and have been great so far.
The flow on them is brilliant, mind you I'm using 4 on a 180l tank as well. 2 are aimed at the surface and 2 are aimed towards the front glass.
The only thing with the pumps is that they come with a 2 pin far eastern plug so you need to put an adaptor on them (shaver adaptor works fine), I cut mine and connected them to an Algarde switch bar so I can turn them on/off for feeding etc.
Hope this helps.
Tony
really nice pics, any chance of a full view? please :)

Thanks Tony,
would ideally like a couple of tunze, but these look like a good alternative, need more flow in the 5x2x2 already got 6 pumps running, these may do a more efficient job :thanx:
Lisa
only thing you have to remember is that the seio pumps are rated in liters(as opposed to a uk litre) per hour and us gallons, but seeing as they are less than half the price of a tunze they are a good alternative
nice pics
just like a real pro!
any more?
are these pumps as powerfull as the tunzes?
i have 2 1100gph. be it us gall or whatever am sure that the are the same measure as streams. the are well powerful but is nigh on impossible to get the impellor shaft out without snapping it!! done both of mine. they break in the middle so can still be used until you get replacements.

the m1500 is as powerful as the smallest stream(6000), but not as expensive, dont think they have the option to add a speed controller so if you find the 1500 or whatever you go for is too powerful then you may be stuck with it
They seem really good value, what postage did you pay slappy? edit- also could you plug them into a wavemaker?
The postage worked out to about £20.00
And no you cannot connect them to a wavemaker. If you want to use a wavemaker, I would go for the Tunze or Maxijets.
I managed to take the impellor out whilst it was in the tank, switched off of course and didn't break anything. Done it about ten minutes ago just to reassure myself.
Does it say not to use them on a wavemaker then?
another question for you slappy ;)
can you adjust the flow?, if you click on one on the units it has a detailed diagram and on that diagram one part is described as a High-Low flow control?
Here's some photos I took today as I charged up the batteries. I didn't charge it when I took the other photos.
My little starfish.
My pink spot goby, behind the goby is the star polyps which grew onto a minature Jack Daniels bottle. (any excuse to drink JD!)
I now have a second Jack Daniels bottle in the tank :D as I promised one to another UR member.
There's the other Jack Daniels bottle.
This is my little sea urchin, I had a orange pincushion urchin which had to some out as it stripped my live rock of coralline algae.
That little red bit above the button polyps is my little red starfish.
New arrivals, chaeto algae and pulsing xenia (courtesy of glenchalk)
My two Jack Daniels bottles. (Done them for a laugh really)

Great shot's love the little red starfish, what type is that by the way ?
I think it awfully rude not to ask other members to help in the consumption of the JD for the bottles

They are very quiet, I can't hear them. The only noise coming from my tank was from the Prizm, that's gone now.
Even with the Prizm gone, i can't hear the SEIO powerheads.

Well people know what I'm like with JD, I don't share. , not much anyway.
The starfish is called a Red Knobbly Star, not sure on the latin name though. It's not a Crimson Knobbed but probably comes from the same family. It doesn't touch my polyps, it spends most of its tim on the front glass.

My mate who runs a pub brought over a pub size bottle, bit big though and will dominate the tank.
I did think about doing that but thought about it afterwards and decided against it.

I'll take a full view of the tank when I get my camera back (loaned it to someone), I'll find some older photos later and will post them here.
Gotta pack my Prizm ready for shipping, put it on ebay for £65 and sold it within 40 minutes, I described it the best I could (crap) and someone bought it anyway. It pays to be truthful!
Here's the full tank photos as promised.

Excuse the fine bubbles, they are coming from the skimmer, been trying all week to work a way around it to minimise the bubbles, not having any luck at the moment.
