Hi,

The link below shows my tank in it's former glory:-

As some of you may have seen my entire set-up is now for sale! How disappointed am I! I can tell you I'm 32 years old & not scared to admit I was close to tears, when I put my hand in the tank for the 1st in order to start pulling out stock.

Maybe I should have waited (boy do I have some regrets now!), maybe I should have shouted out loud & said 'c'mon guys give me some encouragement to keep going' I never got round to joining any clubs so I guess this was my downfall, maybe If I socialised with fellow reefers, I'd have kept up the good work? But I guess I'll never know! What I do know is (in the immortal words or Arnie) "I'LL BE BACK" that much I can promise!

I originally started out on a 40 gal set-up approx three years (do some searching under my user name for those 'early day' pictures) & now have or should I say had the 115 gal set-up I'm currently with. 'However' I already have new plans & my tank hasn't even gone yet!

So the plan is to build a 6x2x2 placed in the wall with all plumbing & electrics in a garage. However this time I'll plan my set-up from the 'ground up', I intend to go closed loop, 250w halides & a 40gal sump.

Once the dust has settled I'll start drawing up some plans. However this wont happen for some time! So for me marine fish keeping (for now) has gone but is by no means forgotten.

Hope to hear from anyone with some encouragement, or maybe some ideas on you own set-up wall placed set-ups, & what to plan for & what potential pitfalls to avoid!

The 'new' tank will be mainly SPS, inverts, a 'few' fish & the odd LPS.

Please take a look at the following:-

& help me save towards my new system!

Thanks for reading all & hope to hear from anyone with their own plans / ideas or even offers of building assistance?

Regards
Chew

Hi Chew.

That was a stunning tank  . One thing for sure is that your new one will look even better with all the knowledge you have gained.
Good Luck.

I'm about to experience the same thing mate. Having to sell to move back to the UK. Sure they'll be a tear in my eye as I wave goodbye to all the coral and fish... :(

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get back on your reef feet again soon!

Wow, your tank was superb in it's day.

I promise I'll give the corals and shrimp I bought from you the best possible home - maybe by the time you build your next system I'll have my frag tank up and running and will be able to help stock your tank!

Cheers,
Ian
