View Full Version : Thought Is Was Time I Put My Tank On Here
sat here with not alot to do so thought i would put some pics and info about my tank. my tank is 3x2x2 with a sump total water capacity is 100gal approx minus rock decor etc. filteration is 3 cases of live rock dsb sump and turboflotor 1000. there are no lights over sump just single 150w halide and two 18w atinics over main tank. the return from sump is a ocean runner 3500 feeding a tee peice spray bar and two corner spray bars pushing all the muck to the front of the tank for easy removal. i do one water change every month as that is all it reqs even after 1 month the levels are all ok it may even be able to go to 2 months but aint going to try it. live stock is :
3 clowns
1 royal gramma
1 fire fish
1 yellow tang
1 manderin
1 green chromis
1 six line wrasse
2 blue and yellow damsels
2 serpent stars and 1 brittle star
various crabs snails
last but not least 1 red foot anenome and one mother of a anenome that is to big for my tank so it has to go.
all my corals are soft corals all doing great even on one month water changes.
thanx for reading about my tank and if you think there anything i could add to improve let me know cheers andy

Hi Andy
That looks great, a few more pics would be good, e.g. up close pic, individuel shots of corals and a pic of your sump,
:thanx:
nice tank luv the fire fish   hayste
just hoping that this works for another pic i'll keep them coming once i've worked out how to use this pc (lol). cheers folks.
      it worked
on a roll this should be the sump  thank god the wife knows what she's doin.
some details of the sump 30"x15"x18" first chamber fed from two 2"pipes from back of tank and houses heater, overflows over the crushed coral bed, overflows again over filter media cellpore (great stuff would recommend)and floss ,then into return up into tank. once fed back to tank with a ocean runner 3500 the feed gets split into two pipes one feeding tee peice spray bar (grey pipe in tank pics down the centre) and one feed that gets split again to two corner sprays at the back of the tank this works very effective as it pushes all the muck forward and makes life easy for cleaning bit of hose pipe and a couple of mins job done. only thing that i know i will change is to add abit more circulation with a couple of power heads with wave machine in the main tank. i hope this helps someone out when they look into setting up a marine tank
another recent shot after move around in the tank at the weekend..
some of that tank looks familiar
dont tell me some of the fish lol.

I dont see the nenny in the re-aquascaped pics. ;)
What happened to it??
he was sold due to his 16" size and only a 36"tank .not much room for him or the others :(
Hi Andy! Your tank is looking brilliant and the frags you gave me are doing great!
(Im the guy who brought your old tank & stand, in case your thinking "who's he" lol!)
some more new additions. bought a blue sponge 2day and i was told it was on dead coral but its now opening up and just for a bigger bonus a turbo snail came out the middle of it all and a small serpent star then i found a clam was on the coral so well pleased with my £30 blue sponge :D :D
another pic but iam not very good with a camera lol
now found even more starfish (serpent stars) but i dont think they will survive as they are about as big as a five pence peice :(
think that paid i used to have are breeding again, lol
if they make it chap and chance of a baby one back for my tank please :D
