do i spy an UG plate?
maybe you wont need the heater in such a small tank
Warrington-guy

all the filters will be gone soon, and the heater will go in the sump. i dont like warm rooms so i have the windows open even in the winter. adding my prism to the small sump so that sould help out.

What size sump are you attaching to this nano?
Look forward to seeing the new setup when it's completed.

Wow a real ug havent seen one of them in a while, how is it so far filtration wise.
thanks
needs some backing paper on it!
Looks quite nice. Is that glass or acrylic?
Warrington-guy

its glass. but its only a qt tank at the moment, going for a real makeover withing the mext 2 weeks. then the pics will start rolling in.

It may be an UG but its missing the 'G' bit so no use as a method of filtration but will help with circulation.
Too small for fish IMHO

Reasons?

Too little lighting, relatively instable environment (even if auto top ups and water changes are followed), just generally not a good choice for a nano. You more often than not find nano's house less sensitive animals because they do suffer from fluctuations.
hope this helps

This is Bran New in the box.
Well folks this is the real deal! The new Jebo Odyssea 11" Power Compact System. This is a great little light for small aquariums or for refugium. It has mounting legs that can expand to 14" wide. If you want an economical little powerful light this is it.
This is what all you serious aquarist's have been waiting for, lets get to the specs.
The NEW Features of the Odyssea 11" Power Compact!
The housing is a sleek new fancy Black.
One 18 Watt 50/50 Bulb!(You can swap out the 50/50 for a full day bulb, just email me.)
It has mounting legs!!!!!
Dont worry folks they didn't forget the switch, it has one on the external ballast!
It also has a splash gaurd and a reflective shield.
So if you have been shopping around for a nice little light system let me tell you this is the best deal you will find anywhere.
The Dimensions are: 11" X 4.5" X 4"

Nice one! Think I'm going "open-topped" with mine.
Are you pleased with the light output - do you think it'll support coral growth?
- Ian.
Warrington-guy
26-10-05, 08:45
Yes i'm pleased. looked a little dimmer but im not to sure now. its a 18watt 50/50 tube so i hope it will support more than the standard 11watt in the old hood.

Excellent! I have a 70W compact metal halide that I think is going to go over my tank. Not sure if it's going to be over-kill or not - but I've got it, so I might as well use it.
