View Full Version : 10k T5 Compacts
Rob,
I know that T5 's arn't your thing but as you are in the industry you may be aware of their developments and availabilty.
I and a small number of people on this board are looking for 18W T5 compacts for nano systems. The 24W PC tubes are made by Interpet but not 18 watters.
Any ideas if they are in development or if avaialble from anyone now.
Dave.

Hi Dave
Sorry cant help at all today with T5's.
Rob :(
Dave - are you aware of the ASL offerings? They seem to do 18W T5 Power Compacts in white 7100k, mixed white 7100 + blue 12000k, and a blue actinic 12000k.
Keith
any link for the ASL?
:thanx:
No worries, I'll have to get a halide B)
Keith - thanks but yes I am using those but wanted a 10K to compare the light out put/colour verses using the 7k and the blue

slightly on a tangent here, but aren't the asl and interpet pc's the same, as in identicle and from the same manufacturer as asl has been bought out by interpet??

Hadn't heard of the takeover. The ranges didn't appear to be the same - hence the different sizes and kelvin ratings (e.g. the white in the mixed white/actinic from Interpet is 6500k, whilst that from ASL was 7100k) - but if they have been taken over imagine this might change, which would be a shame IMO.

Used ASL for a couple of years, the twin 55w units, had amazing anemone growth before I moved tank and to MH. I bought them from Aquatics-online

I'm with MrFish here - I use the ASL daylight & actnic tubes together which is a mix of 7100k and 12000K. Wanted to try a mix of 10000K and 12000K to see what occurs with the growth. Like Clarkii I have used ASLs for some years and have had good results and no problems.
Cheers, Eddie
