how long is live rock alive for if not in salt water? :unsure:

If the rock has been out of water for a long time( say 6 months) is it still worth putting it into your tank? :wacko:

Can it come back to life ????????????????/

it will come alive again if theres bugs already in the tank for example in the sand bed.
if the tank is new you should buy/beg some mature sand from someone else to help seed the rock, it will take time but it will become live again.

on the other hand, reef bones is dead,but still good once matured :)

be dead as a door nail mate - its ill come back to seeding (life) in time, like said nab few bits rock of a mate or fish shop / sand will help

Remember to cycle and keep tabs on the water readings etc
