THIS TANK HAS HAD IT'S UPS AND DOWNS OVER THE YEARS BUT I'VE FINALLY MANAGED TO GET ON TOP OF THINGS, AT LAST!!!!
JUST LIKE TO TAKE THIS MOMENT TO SEND A BIG THANKS TO DANNY AND MARC AT WATFORD, FOR ALL THEIR HELP AND KNOWLEDGE NOT TO MENTION THE GALLONS OF 'COFFEE'.
ALSO THANKS TO MARC FOR THE EXCELLENT PHOTOS HE TOOK OF THE TANK.

Bit late getting in on this thread as Danny has been working me hard this week ;)
Camera I use is a Canon 350D, most of these shots were taken with my 100mm 2.8 macro lens or with the kit (18-55mm) lens. Pics could be alot better really as you get massive reflection because of the location of the tank close to the patio doors at Danny's place.
Regardless of that it's a cracking tank, alot better when you see it in person. My shots dont so the colours justice really...and the size of the fish is something in itself :o
I saw this tank about a year ago for the 1st time , in that time frame it's become almost unrecognisable....looks like Danny has found the reefkeeping equivelent of Miraclegro :D All this even though he's had a few probs along the way, including the shoal of Wimples that decided acros were fair game
Nice one Danny...be interesting to see what it looks like a year from now
All thats left to do is get 'Baros' to put a few shots of his tank up eh....give him a nudge, I know he's got the pics ;)
Love the tank
On your stocking list it says that you have an Achilles Tang.
We are now planning on gettting one of these beauties - do you have any advice for looking after one and do you have any pics of yours?
many thanks
Scott
Hi scott the Achilles tang needs plenty of water flow and gd water quality, the amount of tangs i 've purchased will be on page 1 (fish list) .
GD luck and let me no how you get on mate
OH yeah mate sorry ill try put sum pics up of the achilles tang for you soon thanks dannyg.

Nice
Hi mate,
Nice tank, everything looks to be doing very well.
I noticed in the picture below you have a brown encrusting polyp. Is it the brown version of the purple mat encrusting pachyclavularia, or is it the other type that spreads by growing slowly over the rock work (Sprung describes it as 'unidentified stoloniferian number 2'!)?
If it is the latter have you found anything that will eat it? I have this stuff and it is taking over my tank, nothing will seem to touch it. I would you suggest you try and remove it before it takes over your tank too. It is harmless stuff but very invasive.
Cheers,
Cam.

Thanks for posting the pic of the Achilles Tang.
What pics miss out on is their madcap behaviour!
Top fish - have to get one.

The polyps in the pics are a Clavularia sp.(Borneman) And yes they can literally take over the tank. I,ve been told Joe's Juice kills them back, so I'm going to give it a try. I'll keep you updated.
