Hi there nice to see another sponsor.I just noticed your website.Im in the market very soon for sps lighting on a 5 foot tank thats 2 deep.Wondering if you can advise? Couple of questions...How easy is it to fit the plug and cable to the lamp while still keeping resistance to water or splashes?
How noisy are the cheaper ballasts?
Which bulbs do you recomend for the job? Many thanks hope to hear soon

Hi
A supply cable is easy to fit, there is a 3 pin terminal block within the light to connect your live earth and neutral cables. The reason we do not fit one is there are so many options as to where the cable comes into the light unit, we used to fit one but found most wold change to a different entry point. Magnetic ballasts do make a noise but to date we have sold hundereds and this has not been a problem. We recommend BLV Lamps with the Aquabay or you could try Coralvue or ReefLux which are due here on Friday. :D
