View Full Version : Perc 120
Hi, thought it was time to put the tank back in action.
After being let down twice with (chains) in the buying / selling of houses, i couldn't wait no longer.
I have had the tank roughly from early June this year and was going to set up in the new house / but this hasn't happened yet.
I have stripped down and sold my own which was a (Trigon 350) transfered nearly all livestock / Live Rock etc/ and this is it of today.
Will post more pics when i figure out how to lose the flash (when the flash has been turned off) !!
Regards Ian
Another 1 / will sort the uploader so i can describe and post pics together

hi ian,
looking good mate, how have got the rock stacked? is it milliputted?
les
Les all the rock nicely interlocks and is well supported, was going to use the milliput / rod method if i had no luck, but i am quite happy with the structure.
I might alter the right side but i'll see
Ian
Slappy thanks for the comment ;)
hmmmmm...... I recognise that tank!

Anna

Ian
 looking good ,glad to see your looking after it,nice aqua  scaping
The tank at the mo, is generating a little heat due to the fact i have swapped the supplied Ocean Runners 2000's that feed the front / lower rear closed loops with Newjet 3000 pumps.
I am still using the O/Rnr 2000 to feed the intank fuge
The Newjet's are 55w each whereas the O/Rnr's are only 19w.
I have had to open the flap on the hood at the rear and place a bigish fan there which is helping.
So now i am going to do away with the closed loops i think and get a Tunze / (what is the wattage on a 6000) ?
Any advice /comments will be appreciated.
Thanks Ian.
(cheers sharky)
Oh and by thw way when i was stripping down the old tank i never did find the 2 peppermint shrimps / the remains of the fiji damsel or the orange spot that mysteriously vanished /could of it been this guy here?
and would it be safe to leave him in or get rid?
I also have a red / black brittlestar as well. :thanx:
looking great!
just one thing. sump that green brittle as it's the number one suspect for your fish losses....trust me....i lost four in a week to one about that size a few years ago...untill i caught him at it.
do a sweep with a red light torch at nights out and look for his 'cage' posture.
:o
Thanks for that Wayne m8,
soooooo if anybody wants this brittlestar / you can have it, or it is going to the local fish shop (that is if they want it)
Regards ian
