View Full Version : Lighting For Perc 120
Can someone suggest a suitable lighting setup for a Perc 120, to be able to keep anemone, fish, and later on corals?
I am looking at purchasing a secondhand 120 with 2 x 150 MH 13K; plus a flourescent Arcadia blue light - this to me is the part which doesn't seem adequate ie the moonlit part.
Thank you!

I run my Perc 120 with the supplied halides and an additional T5 4ft actinic tube.
i have just got a set of blue moonlight leds off ebay but haven't fitted them as yet.
Jobr,
So, the moonlights will be in addition to the T5 actinic? If yes, then I guess that you're not happy with the effect the T5 alone gives? I don't suppose you have a pic?
Currently the tank has something like this, using a 30" bulb:

But it does not seem adequate to me.
Thx

IMO the T5 is fine.
At present my blue T5 comes on an hour before my halides and goes off an hour after they go off.
My plan is to use the moonlights when the others are all off.
Going to experiment with times, i.e. leave on for the whole time the T5 is off or have it come on for a few hours after T5 goes off and then back on for a few hours before it comes back on leaving a period in the middle of no light.
