View Full Version : Contactor
Hi
Have ordered a cuple of 2gang contactors and timers from you for my 250w halides,
just wondered if it ok to use extension leads on these contactors, or do they have to be plugged in direct to a socket?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
Have you placed your order today?
They must be installed in a twin socket outlet.

Thanks for the reply.
I have already received them and the leads arent long enough to reach the wall socket, so im trying to find a solution... any ideas? are extension leads out of the question? i would have to install sockets directly in the cabinet otherwise.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Again,
With the Contactor connected directly to a twin socket you can run a short extension lead from the contactor twin outlet to your light/s. Please ensure the cable in your extension lead is a minimum of 1.5mm3 and no longer than 3mts.
