Reefworks, could you answer this for me.

Has anyone had any experience of adding a dotty to a tank(6x2x2.5) which has a resident dotty, that has been there for 18 months.

I really like this fish and would love another, is it possible? or will all hell break out?

cheers Loz..

If it is another orchid dottyback it should be no problem. I added 50 orchids to a 3,000l system over a period of 6 months no problem.
As they can change sex you will end up with male and female.

Hi Clayton

I was interested to hear that as I bought a pair off you about 18 months ago and one of them disappeared a month or so ago. I want to add another one. These fish are gorgeous! Can you keep more than a pair in a community tank?

Thanks
Stan

Yes Stan you can, you may get disputes over the alpha male but it is almost never fatal. The lesser fish usually become females.
