Heres my new Nano reef tank. (Couldnt wait until I get my 100 gallon planned reef tank!!) Its an 80 litre tank with internal filtration at the rear of the tank. its about 20" square and comes with fitted light unit with actinic and white light. I have up-graded the 1100 lph circulation with a 1200 lph reef clean beneath a raised area of egg crate. The system will be skimmer-less and I plan to use an auto top up system. I have added Rowa sponge to the filtration and plan to include 12kg of live rock and live sand hope you guys like!!

Soft corals maybe a pair of clowns and a dwarf angel. Im a bit paranoid about the fact I cant accomodate a skimmer without removing the hood. Ill see how good i can maintain water quality if quality suffers I'll rethink.

Warrington guy thanks for the comments mate. Do you think I can get away without having a skimmer? Ive only ever had larger tanks 50 galls plus in the past and alway had Deltec skimmers.

Jim I have upgraded the origional pump 1100lph and added a 1200lph powerhead to run the reefclean. With flow reduction im thinking at least 1800lph which at 80lts for the tank gives me 22x an hour turn over I may add a further powerhead and upgrade the lighting if soft corals struggle. I got the tank from Shirley Aquatics £99

the tank came with the rear plate alredy made. Ive upgraded the turn over so i may need to drill some more holes in order that enough water will flow into the chamber the light unit came with the tank its quite bright and there are 2 tubes one blue and one white i wll remove the hood and add a MH if the lighting proves insufficient
