ignor me... just found another post further down
but if anyone has any pics of their tanks with either it would be appreciated..
i'm currently using a 10k bvl that is fairly yellow.. so i was thinking about going to 14k...
but a few sites i've seen say the bvl isnt a true 10k. Which makes me think that a reeflux 10k may be bluer/ whiter than what i currently have..
any suggestions
?
I am not a big fan of the CV bulbs myself, havenot been very impressed with the 14 or 20K's.

hmm ... any particular reason? too blue, yellow, not very bright?
well the 20k are not that bright but this is to be exspected to some degree but the 14k where also quite dull IMO. I am using them in a series 3 arcadia pendant. The 20 isnt very blue what so ever, I guess its down to your own tastes but I didnt like them.
What have others thought of the CV bulbs,
Anyone ??
I find the CV 10k's excellent, much better than my old blv's or arcadias.
SPS is colouring great, even my hystix is going the shocking pink it should be rather than a dirty pink.
I personnly prefer the look of 14k or 20k lamps but am getting better results from my new 10k CV's

I put my reeflux 150w 10k inn last night instread of a bvl 10k..
a huge difference.. nice white colour with a hint of blue.. my corals seamed to respond within 5-10 mins giving better extension from the body and polyps

yeah no probs.... will sort it out in the morning...
i'd say that my softies look 10000x better after a few days with the reeflux than they did with a few months of my old 10k bvl
