hi all you lighting fanatics :D

just to help some people make their minds up, i took pics of my old arcadia bulb, over 7months old, then took pics of the new coralvue 14k i got the other day, check the following out for now, i will add the BLV result once i have the bulb hopefully tomorow or sat even. i know its not a totally fair test but hey gives us some idea of whats going on <_<

i did this because 14k's are supposed to have a blue tint.. so why aint we seeing any??? i didnt really see much in the arcadia or coralvue, so lets see if the BLV's will do anythin for us?

all shots were taken in a dark room, same distance and camera setting. camera is a canon A300. it is pure halide, no t8, t5's etc used to spoil the result!

watch this space for the BLV result coming soon.

Hi Gary , I had two CV's fail to and was told this was an isolated incident. Did they just refuse to fire up ?

Nic from Coralculture was very nice and sorted the problem for me.

Thats why you need to turn the auto white (colour) balance off as the camera will auto adjust itself.

You cant accurately compare without manually setting white balance and turning off any in camera fiddle factors.
