hi there,
I got a lovely white acro before Xmas, just noticed some small brown patches of algae on one side of the branches. It appears to be getting slowly worse.
I can still see polyps on the acro.
I also got a gonipora a few weeks back which hasn't come out today :(
I think my params are ok, the nitrate may be higher than I think, struggling to read the salifert test kits accurately. All test results in my sig below.
I'll do some more tests tomorrow in daylight.
Based on this and the fact I lost the odd frag recently I've done some long hard thinking, and I removed the sponges from my pumps last weekend and also some bioballs, with a view to removing them all and replacing that area with LR rubble.
Any ideas what causes the algae and if I can fix it?
Pics to follow!
regards
greg
