Why does this acro show different colouration from above than it does from the side is it healthy?

not an expert but i would have thought(guess ;) ) more light reaches the top rather then the sides and also the glass has an effect!

You will get more zooxanthellae (brown in colour) growing in the shadier parts to compensate for the lower light levels there.

Generally, bright phosphorescent colors such as purple, pink, or blue require A LOT of light and a significant amount of UV-A emmission. Bright green colors can be an exception. These colors are formed as UV protective pigments by reflecting most of the radiated UV. Blue indicates the SPS came from extremely shallow water since blue is the best UV reflectivepigmentation.
As the coral receives more light on tips that it is why it tends to be best veiwed from above as this area displays more colour
