Gonna suck it and see coral wise, fish wise i'd like a pair of clowns at least. See how it goes
Thanks for the nice comment
Chris

Yep, undergravel removed after umming and arring. I've bought a prizm skimmer of Hermie (member on here) with the intection of using it on this tank. There are two powerheads in there directed through the liverock and the flow seems to bounce around the tank nicely. I'm happy.
Chris
Really like these tanks, it's looking great so far. Make sure you keep us up to date!

Looking good, I like the zoos with the green ring alot.
I hate to say it, but that sea apple is just a disaster waiting to happen..... where's the 'banging-my-head-against-a brick-wall' smily when you need it!
Good to see that you decided to get a nano, also please to see you using the tunze ! ;)
Update!
Sea-apple has been returned to the LFS after much umming and arring and was replaced with a pair of common clownfish
Theres also some new frags in there as well as new zoo colonies, cant get pictures of them all as my camera refuses to focus properly :( Its a Canon Powershot A80 if anybody has any tips! Anyway heres a couple more of the nano :)

Heres some advice for ya ...slow down.. IMHO you have stocked that tank waaay too fast
Is that a condy (or could be a BTA)... if it is tank is much too small for it... the tank aint mature enough for it.. you dont have the light for it...
oh and it is verry unlikely your clowns will host it if it is a condy...
Hey, Chris
I think both your tanks are great, especially the nano. Can't wait to see what you're going to do with mine! See you tomorrow.
hey
can i see more pictures of your nano tank please :)
thanx

Right. Had me tools out this morning and managed to make a half decent fist of getting me new Aquamedic Halide up (Cheers Jacksok)
I'm personally well chuffed with the results, added a B&Q mini-fan and also added a Ph Probe with display thing. Anyway, what do you think?

Well done

Great, Chris - looks excellent. Bet you wish you had a 52 incher, though!:p Let us know how the lil citron goby goes - I might be getting one or two but I'm told they like to be in groups?
Thanks for the comments :)
Goby is doing well, likes to sit on the zoo's or on top of the heater or a rock, lovely little fellow. Ive had a move round of the rockwork to accomodate another powerhead. There are now 3 in there, one pointing stright out the middle and the other 2 on either side pushing out water left and right. Ive tried to hide them as best as i can. Have a look

Hi Chris,

Hi, is that a 70watt or a 150 watt halide you have over the tank?, and if you don't mind how much did it cost,
cheers,
Peter
Its an Aquamedic Oceanlight 150 running a 20K Coralview bulb. Cost me around £70 off a member on here

Chris

Thanks for the reply Chris, by the way the tank looks great.
Hard to tell on the photograph, but does the 20K Coralview give of a realy "blue" light? and how are you finding the evaporation under the 150,
regards,
Peter.
The Coralview 20k gives a blue tint, nothing overly blue if that makes sense! Evaporation is currently about a litre a day and thats with one B&Q fan running 24/7

Coming along nicely;)
How did it cope with the recent hot weather?
are you running a light other than the halide???
Coming along nicely;)
How did it cope with the recent hot weather?
No major problems to be honest. Fan kept the temp in check for the most part, did see 84 one day though. Livestock seem unaffected
Chris
are you running a light other than the halide???
Yes mate, well spotted. Its just a small 18inch or so T8 actinic. I have it on all day.
Chris
Good to hear;)
I've always fancied a nano but have been concerned about the high temps. Yours doesn't look like it suffered though;)
Cheers
dave:)
Nice, I want to re-scape my nano, its being taken over by the sarco.
It looks like you have added a couple of gadgets, the pipe on the left hand side and the thing in the middle back.
If its a skimmer, what type is it, any good, I'm looking for a small skimmer for my system but can't find one that fits.
Its not a skimmer, tis just a hang on the back type multi filter. The pipe you can see on the left is the inlet pipe and the thing in the middle is the return which is like a waterfall type thing. Its an Aqua-Vital AVHO600 bought off ebay for around £20. Does the job.
Chris
I should add i didnt bother with a skimmer, i just change around 10% of the water weekly, seems to be ok. I have 4 small fish and they seem fine

can i go on the list of customers when you frag your zoos?!!
hi publican, i think you should frag some of the bluey zoa's colony as top/bot in this clip
http://www.ultimatereef.net/uploader/2006Q1/fullsep2.jpg
and swap for some of my pink zoa's, how many polyps shall we do?:)
http://www.ultimatereef.net/uploader/2006Q1/DSCN6546.JPG
If you can wait a month until i move house we can sort summat out i'm sure as the Via-Aqua may well become my frag tank as the Deltec Microreef will be up and running :)
